Cancellation and Refund Policy for DIMT Law College

1. General Policy

DIMT Law College is committed to providing quality education services. We understand that circumstances may arise requiring cancellation or refund of fees. This policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and refunds are processed.

 

2. Admission Fee

  • The admission fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Once paid, the admission fee will not be refunded, transferred, or adjusted against any other course or student.

 

3. Tuition Fee

  • Refund requests for tuition fees will be considered only if submitted in writing within the specified period.
  • The refund of tuition fees will be processed as per the following schedule:
    • Before the commencement of classes: Full refund of tuition fees after deducting administrative charges.
    • Within the first week of commencement of classes: 80% refund of tuition fees.
    • Within the second week of commencement of classes: 50% refund of tuition fees.
    • After the second week of commencement of classes: No refund will be provided.

 

4. Examination Fee

  • Examination fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

5. Hostel Fee

  • The hostel fee is refundable as per the following conditions:
    • Before occupying the hostel: Full refund after deducting administrative charges.
    • After occupying the hostel: Pro-rata refund based on the duration of stay, subject to a minimum deduction of one month’s fee.

 

6. Library Fee

  • The library fee is non-refundable once the student has been issued a library card.

 

7. Cancellation Process

  • To initiate a cancellation, the student must submit a written request to the admissions office. The request should include the student’s name, course details, and reason for cancellation.
  • The cancellation request will be reviewed and processed within 15 working days from the date of receipt.

 

8. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 30 working days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds will be made through the original mode of payment or any other method deemed appropriate by DIMT Law College.
  • Any bank charges or transaction fees associated with the refund process will be deducted from the refundable amount.

 

9. No Refund Situations

  • No refund will be provided for students who have been expelled or suspended from the college due to disciplinary actions.
  • No refund will be provided for students who voluntarily withdraw from the course after the stipulated refund period.

 

10. Force Majeure

  • DIMT Law College is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this policy due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, war, terrorism, and pandemics.
